Aviolog – flying sensibly!
Aviation is one of the most regulated and monitored global industries, primarily focused on safety. Aviation strives for efficiency by being more connected and elastic to quick changes in the global economic and political situation. Airlines, aircraft owners, maintenance facilities, banks, travel agencies, are significantly investing in improving the awareness about commercial aviation, passengers, cargo, routes, fuel, maintenance procedures etc. Aviolog provides analytics of real time actual situations in the sky, but also to be used in pre-operations and post-operations phases.
Aviolog.com is the new aviation analytics and communication platform for airband based on secure crowdsourcing of the important ADS-B/C and ACARS messages, offering mechanisms for their validation and making these records protected and immutable. By doing so, the data coming out of such structure becomes the most reliable and trustless source of aviation information by enabling:
- Flight data reception and aggregation,
- Securing privacy and confidentiality
- Data immutability and integrity including proof-of-location
- Allowing the data owners unlimited downstream communication, and public and more accurate information on the air-traffic

Aviolog – crowdsourced, consensus checked and immutable data
Modern aircraft have a number of ways to transmit precious data, over VHF, HF or SatCom using Datalink Service Providers. The position and low level information messages are sent using transponder capabilities and whatever fits ADS-B capabilities, whereby information is usually gathered from crowdsourcing platforms. Aviolog receives both spectrums using dedicated devices, confirms and locks data in immutable ledger to blockchain, making it tamper proof. When data is received, we parse it to meet needs of the client into our interface, or deliver the parsed data as application programming interface (API) to clients existing systems.

Our receiver
Our low energy device with a custom built antenna suitable for office installation can receive all ACARS and ADS-B data coming out of an aircraft, and be decoded on a dedicated protected web service. In case more devices from the same area receive the same message, a consensus can be made on the content to confirm its validity. The service can provide information back to the user either real time or as a daily/weekly digest, depending on requirements of your fleet. Most importantly, data reception from the aircraft is made with no additional cost to Communication Service Providers or burden to maintenance staff.
